Sub-Project WU: Increasing of women’s share in company boards

The delegation to company boards is a difficult task: not only must the extensive qualification profile of the board be secured, but from the perspective of the persons in charge of nominating the candidates, potential board members have to possess high social competencies, an appropriate personality and thorough integrity.

The research project developed a corporate strategic planning simulation, to simulate the manifold facets of recruiting board members. Especially interesting are processes of search and selection as well as the identification of evaluation criteria for the specific nomination decisions.

In order to specify the corporate simulation game, expert interviews were conducted. Interview partners included executive search consultants, legal experts, board members and persons who are nominating and delegating board members.
