Federal Administrative Library
The Federal Administrative Library is open to the public as a reference library. Federal employees and employees of any other public body or institution are entitled to borrow library materials.
The Federal Administrative Library (AB) is the:
- central governmental library for all federal, regional and municipal government offices,
- official group library for the Federal Chancellery, the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the Federal Ministry of Education and the Austrian State Archives,
- publicly accessible administrative library,
- Austrian OECD depository library.
A libraries association was established with the libraries of the Federal Ministry of Justice in 2008.
The collection focuses on the following areas:
- law, administration, politics, the economy
- education, art and cultural policy, science and research policy
- Austrian matters
- OECD publications
