Sub-Project FORBA: Increasing of women’s share in economic leading and management positions
In contrast to previous studies, women in management positions were not be presented as role models. Rather, companies that are characterised by a commitment to promoting gender equality were in the focus of this research project. Thus, a dialogue between companies, social partners, and relevant decision-makers in equal treatment policy was started to facilitate a practice-oriented exchange of best practice examples, experiences and challenges with measures to support women and gender equality.
This exchange was reached via interviews and research in app. 15 equality-active companies in Austria. The results were further extended by focus group discussions with representatives of the analysed companies, by an event series with Austrian companies and stakeholders, and by the publication of results on the project platform.
