Media Corner 

The Pan-African Kofi Annan Award for Innovation in Africa, an initiative of the Austrian Federal Chancellery together with renowned partner organizations, promotes outstanding, innovative solutions for the health sector in line with the UN Agenda 2030 ("SDG3"). Nine pioneering African social entrepreneurs with a sustainable business model have the opportunity for mentoring, international networking with selected international investors, industry experts and companies.

A high-calibre jury with ten members, including Nobel Prize winner Prof. Muhammad Yunus, Valerie Amos, Kojo Annan, David Beasley and Bogolo Joy Kenewendo will award EUR 250,000 to each of the three winning teams. The program is complemented by 12 months of intensive support for scaling up their health solutions. The partners are: the Kofi Annan Foundation, World Food Programme Innovation Accelerator and Austrian Development Agency.
